Fresh Herbs & Spices
Spices come from all but the leaves (which are herbs) of particular plants, e.g. plant families possessing concentrations of medicinal, aromatic oils or esthers, i.e. roots, stems, bark, flowers and seeds.
Fresh herbs are common place in today's kitchens wether from your garden or the market. Their use is paramount to a healthy diet as they are as much medicinal to our digestive process as they are flavorfull. Here are some of the Fresh Herbs I have in store at the F-M 1410 pretty much year round:
Basils - in spades, African Blue, Cinnamon, Lemon, Opal or Purple Basil as well as Sweet and Thai Basil @ $8# wholesale, retail @ $1/oz
Bay/Laurel Leaves - take a bit longer to impart its flavor into meals however fresh bay has a flavor quality that's much more aromatic than dried @ $2 os retail #26# wholesale

Spices are seldom found fresh except in root form, e.g. Ginger, Turmeric, etc.. However in the months of May and June, one of the fresh spices I get is in the form of Green Corriander Corns @ $2 oz. very exotic flavor that has so much more depth in flavor than dried. I'll let you know when I have more of these items available
